Benchmark Email introduces WordPress Plugin for email marketing clients
The new Plugin lets Benchmark Email and WordPress users grab email subscriptions on their blogs, as well as create, edit, test and send out blog-post emails.
Long Beach, CA, August 12, 2009 – Benchmark Email, a leading, Web-based email marketing service with more than 65,000 users, has created a WordPress Plugin that lets blog users add new blog subscribers, manage those subscribers and even send out blog posts directly from the WordPress admin. The Plugin, designed specifically for Benchmark Email customers, is available for both paid and free trial users.
"Now that blogging is a major part of online marketing for businesses, we decided that a tool for WordPress, the premiere blogging software, would give Benchmark Email clients the easiest and fastest way to build a blog-based email list and send out important posts," says Curt Keller, CEO of Benchmark Email. The WordPress Plugin can be downloaded directly from the Benchmark Email Website. Once the Plugin is installed, each time a person subscribes via a blog-based sign-up box, their info is stored in the WordPress admin. These email address can be automatically added later to a Benchmark Email-based contact list.
Benchmark Email WordPress Plugin Users can also import contacts from their Benchmark Email account into their WordPress admin. That list can be managed at the Benchmark Email site, but the purpose of the Plugin is to let bloggers manage their email lists and blog sends right in the WordPress admin. If a Benchmark Email WordPress user wants to edit their blog posts before sending them out as emails, they can either edit their blog in the WordPress admin or log into their Benchmark Email account and use a drag and drop editor to make the needed changes.
